In a city fabled for its palaces, The Oberoi Udaivilas can take its place with pride. With views over Lake Pichola to the spectacular City Palace, the hotel itself resembles a grand palace. Landscaped gardens and shady courtyards, decorative fountains and reflection pools, cool marble, ornate carving, inlay work and detailed interiors create a marvellous ambience of days gone by. Huge bedchambers with large private terraces, luxury suites with private swimming pools, marble bathrooms, walk-in closets, butler service and 24-hour in-room dining make you feel like royalty. The restaurants serve international and Indian cuisine including regional favourites. A gymnasium, two large swimming pools and a luxury spa offering a range of therapies, add to the ambience of total pampering. The facilities are particularly suited to meetings that might benefit from this exotic location.

Fondly known as the “City of Lakes”, Udaipur, the erstwhile capital of the Kingdom of Mewar, is resplendent with vast hilltop forts, palaces, temples and gardens that serve as reminders of its majestic history.

Located on the banks of Lake Pichola

Our joy comes from ensuring each is seen and valued as a person

Falling in love with the charm of the “City of Lakes” is easy when you are staying at The Oberoi Udaivilas. Located on the banks of Lake Pichola, our resort is spread over 30 acres of luxuriant gardens, with an intricate layout of interconnecting domes and corridors that reflect the layout of Udaipur itself; whose seven lakes are linked by canals.

Superior accommodations, fine restaurants serving signature cuisine and a quiet emphasis on your wellbeing with daily yoga and personally curated spa treatments. All brought alive by the sincere attention to your every need that is distinctively Oberoi.

Our story wrote its early chapters in 1934 in Shimla where Mr. M.S. Oberoi pioneered the idea of luxury hospitality in India by opening his first hotel. The lessons self-taught, the inevitable mistakes made, the wisdom gained, the prestigious awards won. All have formed the compass for successive generations of Oberois.

To this day, we still practice the most simple and uncommon of operational philosophies that began with Mr. M.S. Oberoi himself and now echoed by his son and current chairman Mr. P.R. S. Oberoi: The guest is everything.
Our joy comes from ensuring each is seen and valued as a person, a friend, a family member who has come to stay. It ‘s present in every gesture through words spoken or unspoken, in ways that are obvious and in ways that are quietly respectful of one’s time and privacy.

You will be hard pressed to find properties as beautiful as ours or restaurants, guest rooms and facilities that are as exceptional. But these are not what give Oberoi Hotels & Resorts its incomparable reputation.
What our guests speak about most is that singular experience of being truly seen, heard and understood. Something no other hotel or resort can emulate. The astonishing effect one feels from an act, a gesture, a word; that is heart felt.
